Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric evaluations for newborns, infants, toddlers, and adolescents, diagnosing acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans including immunization schedules, nutritional guidance, and developmental monitoring.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—nurses, nutritionists, physiotherapists—to provide coordinated, holistic care for complex pediatric cases.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results in alignment with national pediatric guidelines and evidence-based protocols.
- Educate parents and caregivers on childhood wellness, disease prevention, and managing chronic conditions at home.
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems and maintain compliance with clinical and legal record-keeping standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- MBBS with DNB/DCH/PDCC in Pediatrics (or equivalent postgraduate qualification recognized by NMC)
- Valid NMC registration and active license to practice in India
- Proficiency in pediatric clinical assessment tools (e.g., WHO Growth Charts, developmental screening tools)
- Experience with immunization protocols, neonatal care, and common pediatric emergencies (e.g., asthma, seizures, febrile illness)
- EMR/EHR system proficiency (e.g., Practo, eHospital, or equivalent)
- ACLS or PALS certification (current or willingness to obtain)
- Preferred
- Experience in a hospital, clinic, or maternal-child health program setting
- Familiarity with public health initiatives (e.g., RCH, POSHAN Abhiyaan)
- Fluency in regional languages for patient communication (e.g., Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu)
